Your Needs and Tastes Will Dictate the Type of BBQ Grill You Buy

Everybody loves a good barbecue because there's just something about it that gets your blood pumping and your taste buds watering. Unless you have the capabilities of cooking over a campfire, there are different bbq grills you can choose from and your particular needs and preference of barbecue tastes will dictate the type you get. Many people enjoy the smoky taste of barbecue that a charcoal grill can provide while others may like the quick cooking of the gas grill.

Options for Your Gas Grill

Propane is the primary fuel for the gas bbq grill and is quite easy to operate with just a touch of a button and a few temperature controls. During the course of a busy week, it would not take long to grill via gas because you would not be preparing the coals like you would with charcoal, plus your hand would not get dirty either! Gas grills give you such good control the temperature that you don't have to worry about your food cooking unevenly as you often do on charcoal fires.

Some built-in barbecue grills have the option of using natural gas as its heat supply, but that is only an option if your home is plumbed for using natural gas. A really great thing about the natural gas option if it is available to you, is the fact that you don't have to go and fill your propane tanks that you do with a regular gas grill. One of the downsides to using gas grills is that after a while some of the grill parts will start deteriorating and will need replacing. Some of the things that you can pretty much count on replacing include the valves, and temperature controls, and often even the igniters that help to light the flame.

Options for Your Charcoal Grill

In my own opinion, as a barbecue expert, I truly enjoyed the distinct flavor that charcoal adds to my meats and other foods that I throw on the grill, and I truly feel it is worth the extra effort in cleaning up the ashes and getting the fire lighted. The good news is that most charcoal bbq grills do not have extraneous parts like the gas one that needs replacing. Charcoal is relatively inexpensive, although extremely dirty but you do not have to worry about gas leaks or refilling propane tanks.

Portability

If you like to go camping, or have tailgate parties, or simply just like to indulge in any outdoor activities that begs for a barbecue, you really want to consider having a barbecue grill you can take with you. You can find both gas grills and charcoal grills for sale that are very easy to take with you anywhere you go. When you're looking at buying a barbecue grill you're simply going to have to let your budget and your taste buds be your guide.

I personally favor the flavor of a charcoal BBQ grill but everybody taste buds are different. If you want to learn more about barbeques in general or would like some cook out recipes, then visit http://www.freebarbecuetips.com
